Voltage of Imagination News

As a way of showing support to everyone in Japan, Voltage of Imagination has posted a song called がんばったら (Ganbattara) on its website. The song is composed, written, and sung by Chata, with ESTi responsible for arrangement.

Also a bit of old news. VoI has collaborated with a popular iPhone/iPad APP called 朗読少女 (Rodoku Shoujo), which is basically a visual version of audiobooks of literary works and light novels. VoI has provided two songs for the series. The songs are composed by bermei.inazawa and written by interface. リツカ (Rinka) and spiLa, well known as a part of the Utattemita movement in Nico Nico Douga, perform the songs. The songs are available through the APP and are scheduled to be on sale through iTunes Store later in the month.

C78 News Part 1 + VoI

Hi, it's around that time of year again. The summer Comiket, i.e. C78, will take place from August 13 to 15. Not many circles have put up info concerning their C78 releases so far, though several Umineko-related groups have posted info about their upcoming releases.

dai and Luck Ganriki will be collaborating on Umineko no Naku Koro ni musicbox -霧のピトス- (Kiri no Pithos). Incidentally, Kiri no Pithos is the name of the new opening theme for Umineko episode 7: Requiem of the Golden Witch, composed by dai and Luck Ganriki. The song is sung by 木野寧 (Kino Nei), who also sang "Happy Maria" and "Usan no Kaori". Presumably the new OP song will be included in the album.

猫招き歌劇団 (Neko Maneki Kagekidan), the circle that provided several Umineko ending themes in the past, will release a new single, temporarily titled 惨美歌. 本木咲黒 (Motoki Zakuro) will return once again as the lead vocalist.

Voltage of Imagination has announced recently that its latest project will be an image album based on Nakamura Erika's light novel series, Double Brid. The project, titled Depth Break, is headed by vocalist Mitose Noriko, who will also write the lyrics for the song. Oshima Hiroyuki, Luca, and Dani will be responsible for the composition. The album will be released early at C78, but its official release date is Sep 8. The album will be bundled with a short story written by Nakamura Erika herself.

Concerning the request, it has proven difficult to locate some of the requested items, particularly the M3-25 releases. Therefore, I'm afraid I am unable to fulfil all the requests. If any of the other staff is able to find them, that would be great.

C77 News Part 1 + Katakiri Rekka

The website for Voltage of Imagination's C77 album, Kusoh Katsugeki, has officially opened. They seem to have paired up vocalists with composers they've worked before. Annabel and bermei.inazawa formed anNina; Katakiri Rekka collaborated with Morrigan on Kara no Kyoukai image album; Shimotsuki Haruka worked with Oshima Hiroyuki on one of VoI's Orbital Maneuver album; Clock Music's ぺーじゅん has collaborated with Chata on quite a few projects, and so on. Sample tracks for three of the songs are up on the site.

In other news, Rokugen Alice has announced its latest album will be titled 骨董店 『Mystique』, and it looks like it's another tie-in with their earlier album, Omen of Seven.

Other groups that have announced they will participate in C77 at the moment include Alieson, FataMorgana, love solfege, Hana to Onyx, Lotus root Orchestra.

Katakiri Rekka has posted on her blog that she's suffering from a broken bone, and she's not allowed to walk or stand. Best wishes to her. Hopefully she will recover soon.

Voltage of Imagination Latest Project

Voltage of Imagination has just released news on its upcoming project, titled 空想活劇 (Kusoh Katsugeki). The list of artists involved in the project is enormous: Chata, Katakiri Rekka, Shimotsuki Haruka, Annabel, Yanagi Nagi, MintJam, Sorairo Ehon (空色絵本), Fukami Chie, Mitose Noriko, onoken, Oshima Hiroyuki, bermei.inazawa, Morrigan and more. The album is scheduled to be released this winter, though whether or not it will be released at C77 remains to be seen.

Voltage of Imagination News

Not exactly doujin music-related, but anyone who likes Voltage of Imagination might be interested.

Voltage of Imagination will be producing an image album for the Dengeki Bunko light novel series 嘘つきみーくんと壊れたまーちゃん (Usotsuki Mi-kun to Kowareta Ma-chan), titled 存在の正しさは不在 (Sonzai no Tadashisa ha Fuzai). The maxi single will contain 6 tracks, scheduled to be released on October 4.

Then later in December, the full album titled 幻想の在処は現実 (Gensou no Arika ha Genjitsu) will be released. It will contain 11 tracks, a blend of music and voice acting based on the first volume of the novel series.
