Alieson - WORLDS END ~Boukyaku sare Iku Inochi no Kioku~ (忘却され行く命の記憶)
Alieson's music is like electric violin; it is something of a contradiction. One does not typically expect to hear a high register female voice in rock, but this is precisely the case with Alieson. A delicate, fragile female voice mixed with heavy rhythm rock makes for a very intriguing combination.
http://www.alieson.net/html/
Asriel - Eien ni Sasageshi Itetsuki Nemuri (永遠に捧げし凍てつく眠り)
High-spirited from beginning to end, this is an infusion of spice and bitter, with just the slightest sprinkle of tender sweetness.
http://www.asriel.jp/m/
Ether - Eternal Blue-Advanced-
A remake of their second album, Eternal Blue. This is a story about two girls with vastly different backgrounds yet with a similar wish, told in what Ether describes as a "gothic sound". Organic anguish and struggle that is nonetheless presented with a certain symmetrical grace and a glimmer of hope.
http://www.ether-music.com/
Shirayuri no Kai (しらゆりの会) - Roses
A glorious noble court romance with a twist, this album fuses neo-classical elegance with rebellious rock. Sakurai Anna of Rokugen Alice is the female lead who seeks high power, and Mutsuki of Queen of Wands is the male lead who seeks self-beauty. Ryo of Ether, as the composer of the album, intrudes on the couple at one point for a three-way vocal tango.

M3-24 Info Dump: Oriental, Exotic, & Special Interest
I realize I'm way behind on this, so I'll try to catch up on everything before C77.
Lotus root Orchestra - monophobia
A curious mixture of rockish ballad, stately traditional music, and folk song. The result turns out to be quite interesting. The highlight of the single is the duet between Nakae Mitsuki (中恵光城) and Ataiwadareka (あたいわだれか) in track 3.
http://yk.cage.to/index.html
MiddleIsland - Uragiri no Sabaku, Hitori Hakuchuumu (裏切りの砂漠、ひとり白昼夢)
The fiery passion of tango and flamenco as the castanets clap away and the piano runs wild, it evokes the image of the capricious Gyspy, Carmen. Sparks are flying everywhere as Nakajima Misaki's (中島岬) instrumentation and Murasaki's (紫) voice dance and duel like no one's business. This is musical consummation at its best.
http://www.middleisland.net/
mimei - Utsuro no Chou no Mekakushi Oni (虚の蝶の目隠し鬼)
Taishou aesthetics is mimei's trademark, but in this album mimei has taken a step away from the Japanese flair. Closed and restrained, combined with asakusa-kitan's (浅草稀譚) murmur-like, repressed singing, it is a suspenseful mystery in the confines of a half-Japanese, half-western mansion, reflecting the ambiguity and the contradition of the era.
http://totsu-kuni.net/
Riku Hayama + YuNa + Sentive - RE:SENTIVE
A compilation album of Sentive's past collaboration with vocalists Hayama Riku (葉山りく) and YuNa (遊女). Sentive is a circle renowned for producing doujin game music, as well as providing free music material online. If you ever play doujin game, either shareware or freeware, you might come across the name in the credit. As for the vocalists, YuNa and Hayama Riku have a similarly deep, mature voice which blends well together.
http://fatamorgana.jp/
Dolphin Time (Hayama Riku) - Budoudattawa
Riku describes this mini album as "nostalgia for the Showa era [1926–89]", combining both rock and blues. The aftertaste is more 80-ish (with a shadow of early 90s) and pop-ish, but in a good way.

M3-24 Info Dump: Golden Afternoon & Night Flight
I apologize for the delay. And this list is finally complete!
binaria - ALBA
Ephemeral and illusory, the voices of Annabel and yanagi nagi anchor the single so that it wouldn't float too high up the sky. The single is quite short, hence not much one could say about it, though track 2 is my personal favourite.
http://www.binaria.net/index.html
Funczion SOUNDS with Project Marigold - Utsukushii Sekai (うつくしいせかい)
Very, very pretty. It's hauntingly delicate, dreamy, and melancholic. The story behind the album is about a girl who has been sick all her life and a girl who is blind. They are staying in the same hospital, and one day they encounter each other in a dream, which marks the beginning of their friendship. marie (真理絵) and Marcia represent the two girls respectively; Project Marigold is the name they use for the duet. If I must recommend only one album from the entire M3-24 collection, this is it.
http://funczion.com/cd_demo/bw/
Lolita Neurosis - Gankyuu Hana*Boumoku Yamai (願朽花*望黙病)
The "sequel" to Amami Rimiyu's (麻観りみゆ) single Shounen Hana*Shoujo Yamai (少年花*少女病). Rimiyu has also participated in Gekidan Forest's first album Yume Kowashi Kitan. She specializes in piano solo and vocal with piano accompaniment. It's difficult to place her, but if I must, I would say she's the complete opposite of Nakajima Misaki's (MiddleIsland) furious, exuberant piano rendition. A girlish sound (and I don't mean moe) tinted with a dash of ruefulness, her music is pretty in a maiden-like sense.
http://lolita-neurosis.biz/
Mameko (まめこ) - Honey Pop
The title sums up Mameko's first solo CD very nicely: it's pop-ish, light, and sweet. Mameko doesn't exclusively sing, she also lends her voice to doujin CD drama and web drama. Currently, she is Mamyukka's resident vocalist; she also belongs to CrownPearl, the duet vocal group she's started with Oriyama Kayo. Back to the CD itself, each track is like a different kind of petit four, yet the size is just right that it wouldn't come off as too sugary.
http://www.geocities.jp/pinkykitty_m/
RUN GIRLS RUN - cocoons on codes
Similar to binaria in style, though slightly more grounded and organic, with a dash of childlike whimsy. If one were to compare binaria to clouds, then Fukami Chie would be more like water and raindrops.
http://rgr.raindrop.jp/
Shirokagami (しろかがみ) - Dream Spell (ドリームスペル)
Very close to RUN GIRLS RUN in style, Fukami Chie being the guest vocalist is perhaps part of the reason. Like RGR, the instrumentation has a simple, organic texture. My impression of the music is that of a tranquil, minimalistic dream.

M3-24 Info Dump: Gothic and Fairy Tales
I know how hard it can be to judge an album by its cover and title alone, so I would like to mention some of the albums and give you some idea on what the albums are like.
Gekidan Forest (劇団フォレスト) - Yume Kowashi Kitan (夢壊し奇譚)
A collaboration between many musicians, including Amami Rimiyu (Lolita Neurosis), Ikeda Show (The Room of Show Ikeda), Yuka (Lotus Root Orchestra), Tamari and others. It's a buffet of dark fairy tales envisioned in various genres such as rock and ballad, and in Amami Rimiyu's case, her trademark piano music, ending with a gothic sounding song sung by Yuka. It's a shame that the balance of the album is slightly off, and the sound quality isn't exactly the greatest.
http://081.in/forest_gakuya/
Giniro Konpeitou Gakudan (銀色星砂糖楽団) - Gentou Parade ~phantasm parade~ (幻燈パレード~phantasm parade~)
One of two Hatsuki Yura's latest projects. Deliciously diabolic, owing much to Konori's gorgeous bass timbre and Yura's insane high notes. Konori, Yura, and マチゲリータ (the composer responsible for this album) have collaborated on a song in Yura's album Gothika before, and that song is included in Gentou Parade. The music, to me at least, is slightly reminiscent of Malice Mizer. A true gothic romance indeed.
http://hatukiyura.sakura.ne.jp/gentou/index.html
Mamyukka - Evilz
Do not be fooled by the Halloween-ish cover and music; the theme of the album is actually quite sinister. It is a carnival of villains, which includes the Queen from Snow White, the Black Swan from Swan Lake, Kaguya Hime, and Captain Hook. Guest vocalists include Nakae Mitsuki (Absolute Castaway), Goto Haruki (A little bit), Yuka (Lotus Roots Orchestra), Aihara Kaori (Melody), Ikeda Show (The Room of Show Ikeda), Hiiragi Rian (spice+rock), and recog. Even though this is only the group's first album, the quality is exceptionally high.
http://mamyukka.tank.jp/
Seifuu Meigetsu (清風明月) - Hameln ~Koisuru Marionette~ (ハーメルン ~恋するマリオネット~)
The other Hatsuki Yura album of M3-24. Slightly more folk-song-like and pop-ish than Gentou Parade, it also doesn't sound as dark (though I can't say the same about the lyrics, since it's Hatsuki Yura after all). The song "Juliet" evokes a flashback to Yura's Yami Douwa Koubou album. A pleasant shoujo gothic-like love story. If you like Hatsuki Yura, you will probably like this album.
http://otogibako.net/hameln/index.htm
Uekiya (植木屋) - Allegoria
If Yume Kowashi Kitan is a buffet of fairy tales, then Allegoria is a five-course fairy tale tragedy, be it expressed through melancholy or anguish. This album has apparently taken the group 4 years to produce, and it shows; there is a consistency throughout the album. It is one of those albums that should be consumed from beginning to end without pause.
