C76 Info Dump #3

I had a feeling I'll need to start up C76 info dump #3, and I was right... I've discovered a relatively new circle that might be of interest.

はなとオニキス (Hana to Onyx) - ロスト・サマー (Lost Summer)
This is certainly a pleasant surprise. The circle consists of two members, はな (Hana) responsible for lyrics and vocal, and 小林オニキス (Kobayashi Onyx) responsible for composition and lyrics. This circle started out at C75 with its first single, 雨、からり。 (Ame, karari). This time they come back with an album. Their music is relaxing to listen to, boasting some very pretty composition; it has the feel of Run Girls Run and a little bit of binaria, though more pop-ish.

HUMMING LIFE feat. Chata - 春 (Haru)
Chata sure is busy this year. This is her collaboration with HUMMING LIFE.
http://humminglife.jp/haru/

kaede.org - Sakura
After their successful collaboration at C75 with the single Cocoon, mewlist and Chata join forces once again to produce a new single named Sakura.

Sugar plum Garden - Sky Garden
Sugar plum Garden is a circle formed by 橋本鏡也 (Hashimoto Kyouya, responsible for music) and 佳織みちる (Kaori Michiru, vocal). Katakiri Rekka participates as guest vocalist.

tieLeaf - ツイソウの窓
Contains only one song, written and sung by Shimotsuki Haruka, this single is a supplement to a novel written by the group tieLeaf.

Vagrancy (Shikata Akiko) - Istoria~Kalliope~ Orgel ver.
Also only contains one song and ties in with the "Istoria~Kalliope~" Special Book II.

C76 Info Dump #2

Here is the second part to my C76 info dump.

Alieson - rabbit ~冥王に仕えし繋囚の花嫁~
This is the sequel to Alieson's previous single rabbit~冥府の果実 / 硝子の肖像~, as well as Alieson's 8th Episode Album. The story is of the dark fairy tale tradition, which reminds me a bit of their 3rd episode album, versus~紺碧に沈む哀婉の乙女~.

Ayutrica - 眠りの森の金糸雀
Ayutrica started out at C75 this year with their first album, Ende der Träumerei, and they did pretty good.

Closed/Underground - Closed/Underground Chronicle 1999-2009 vol.02 Respect for Pioneers
Katakiri Rekka has finally released vol. 2 of the Closed/Underground Chronicle. Vol. 1 was released a long time ago...

Crystal Sphere - amorphous
Of the somewhat dreamy, mystical sound. I happen to quite like their past album Cathedral, but it's difficult to find this circle's work.

G protein-coupled receptor feat. 遊女 - Antagonism
With a jazzy beat. This is one of the albums I'm looking forward to but still haven't found yet. 遊女 (Yuna) is a recent favourite vocalist of mine. Her voice might not be perfect, but there is a certain unique charm about her.

Lotus Root Orchestra - 鈍色ジルコニア
I have terrible affinity with this circle, mainly because it's very, very difficult to come across their work except for the sample tracks on the website.

Voltage of Imagination - Go Ahead ~ Team Leviathan Chronicle / 全竜交渉部隊戦闘記録
The fourth and final album of Team Leviathan Chronicle has been released under the title Go Ahead. Onoken is responsible for the composition. Misawa Aki, Chata, and Katakiri Rekka are responsible for lyrics and vocal.

This wraps up C76. M3-24, about to take place in October, will be next. I will bring you the info as soon as I find them.

C76 Info Dump

Sorry, no download this time. I know it's a bit late, but here are some info on C76, as well as my impression on some of the C76 albums I've listened to so far.

Absolute Castaway - Hanauta (華唄)
Gorgeous traditional Japanese folk songs. Undoubtedly one of the best releases. Then again, Absolute Castaway has been producing nothing but high quality work. Nakae Mitsuki is definitely a vocalist worth looking out for.

Hatsuki Yura - 東方来夢来人
Hatsuki Yura takes on Touhou.

love solfege' - cloisters' end and piano piece collection
love solfege' originally has a new work planned for C76, but the release has been delayed because one of the staff has fallen ill. Instead, they have released this piano solo album containing their previous work, as well as a piano score book.

Luna-Haze - Dies=Nova
After their initial success with their previous sound album Milde-Sorte ~ Constructed Minds~, Luna-Haze releases their second sound album, Dies=Nova. Like their previous album, this album is part sound drama by professional seiyuu and part vocal songs. This time, however, the story takes place in a medieval setting.

mimei - Mimeido Ibun ~Alternative Obscura~ (未明堂異聞)
Somewhat similar to Absolute Castaway's traditional Japanese sound, with a tint of Taishou romance. Surprisingly, there are only three vocal songs out of eight tracks. This circle is my personal favourite.

MW - 燐音 -RINNE-
A collaboration between Katakiri Rekka, Shimotsuki Haruka, and Hosoi Soshi (細井聡司). Definitely this year's highlight.

Oshima Hiroyuki (大嶋啓之) feat. Chata - Suimin Toshi (睡眠都市)
Oshima Hiroyuki has worked for Voltage of Imagination on several occasions and composed for Katakiri Rekka, Shimotsuki Haruka, and Chata. His latest doujin album features Chata on vocal. As the title implies, the music is relaxing and delicate, accenting Chata's healing voice well.

Rokugen Alice (六弦アリス) - Shinkou Shuukyou Bankakyou (新興宗教 万華教)
Rokugen Alice is one of those groups that I have to listen to multiple times in order to develop an impression. Lots of electric sound, which might sound a bit noisy, but when they quiet down, it's pretty refreshing.

Shoujo Byou (少女病) - Kuusou RPG! (空想RPG!)
Asriel starts off the album nicely, then the album descends to a parade of cute J-pop songs that aren't as endearing. The album picks up in the end with Yanaginagi's rock-ish Last Dance and Chata's folksong Aether Rain, supplying a nice ending to this slightly uneven album.

Shoujo Byou - Reimei Lorelei (黎明ローレライ)
I'm still digesting this one, but my initial feeling is that I like this one better than Kuusou RPG. Just my opinion, of course.

WAVE - Veridical Factor
Circle WAVE's latest offering is a Kara no Kyoukai image sound album featuring vocals by Katakiri Rekka, Annabel, Misawa Aki, and Fujieda Akane. And just so you know, the music is composed by Morrigan (WAVE), so it has nothing to do with Kajiura Yuki's KnK movie soundtracks.
